Application Process
The application for membership in the Sons of the American Revolution must be submitted on special legal size archival SAR paper using an SAR approved form. Your Cherokee Chapter Registrar will complete this form for you from the documentation and ancestral information that you provide. As an aide for the Registrar, you may use this official SAR worksheet* for outlining your lineage and supporting documents. If you cannot view & print this worksheet, we can provide a blank copy. After the formal application is completed by the Registrar, you will review it for completeness and accuracy, sign it, and pay the application fee. That’s it!
Getting Started
Collect the information you know and begin by filling in what you can on the worksheet. Bring what you have to the next Cherokee Chapter meeting and we will help you find the missing pieces.
